Session Times

Morning nursery sessions run from 8.45am until 11.45am.

Afternoon nursery sessions run from 12.30pm until 3.30pm, although children may be collected at 3.15pm as this is when the main school finishes.

We are now able to offer parents the option to arrange sessions flexibly. You may wish your child to stay for a full day or attend a mixture of morning and afternoon sessions. If your child stays for a full day there is a small charge to cover lunchtime supervision. We also give parents the option to pay for extra sessions in addition to their child's free entitlement.when spaces are available. Children may also attend our school breakfast and after school clubs. Please ask us about our current charges for this.

Please see below for more information or speak to a member of staff.

Nursery Provision

Please try to ensure that you are punctual at the beginning and end of a session. Arriving late can be unsettling for your child and disrupts the session for others. Young children can often get upset if they feel that they have been left behind at the end of the session when everyone else has gone.

Uniform

Uniform consists of a navy blue sweatshirt and a red polo shirt. These are available from Abbey Street Shopping Centre in Accrington or most supermarkets.

Children should wear trousers or skirts which they can manage easily by themselves when they go to the toilet. Jogging bottoms or leggings with an elasticated waist are ideal.

Shoes should be sturdy and suitable for running and climbing in outdoors. Please avoid laces and buckle fastenings as we encourage children to be independent when changing their shoes for p.e. or dressing up. Slip on shoes often come off easily when children run so shoes with a velcro fastening strap are usually the best.

Children need a pair of well fitting pumps in a drawstring p.e. bag with the child's name clearly written on the front of the bag and inside the pumps.

Children also need a pair of wellies with their name written inside. We have some all in one over suits but these are now quite old and not very waterproof so you may wish to provide your child with their own 'puddle suit' or overtrousers for outdoor play in wet weather or messy outdoor play.

Please send a complete set of spare clothes, including socks and underwear, to keep in nursery in case we have to change your child's clothes for any reason e.g. they are wet or have had something spilled on them. These should be in a clearly named bag.

We go outside in most weathers so please make sure your child has a suitable coat, hat and gloves in winter and a sun hat in summer.

PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING, SHOES AND BAGS ARE CLEARLY NAMED AS WE CANNOT ALWAYS IDENTIFY LOST OR MUDDLED ITEMS IF THEY ARE NOT NAMED.
