GREAT HARWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL

Mental Health & Wellbeing

Having a positive attitude to wellbeing and mental health is crucial to being successful and happy. At Great Harwood Primary School we endeavour to support our children, their families and our staff with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Family Support

In school we employ a family liaison support and learning mentor, Miss Sarah Poole, who works in school full time. She supports pupils and parents for a variety of reasons. If you feel you'd like to speak to Miss Poole please give school a call and we will arrange this.

Counsellor/play Therapist

We are also very lucky to employ a counsellor who visits school once a week. She also sees pupils for a variety of reasons. Her time is limited and there can be a waiting list for her support but if your child's teacher feels that your child would benefit from seeing her they will contact you to discuss this.
